1.Who can ask
- Clients of a cleaning company: anyone whose information a cleaning company entered in Next Clean, including people who wrote to a cleaning company by SMS or WhatsApp.
- Business users: owners, office staff and cleaners who have a Next Clean sign-in.
- Cleaning companies: the owner can delete the whole company.
Next Clean does not use Facebook Login and receives no Facebook profile data. If you wrote to a cleaning company on WhatsApp, your messages are stored in that company’s account in Next Clean and are deleted as described below.
2.How to ask
If you are a client of a cleaning company
- Ask your cleaning company: its owner can delete your client record in the app.
- Or email [email protected] with the subject “Data deletion”, your name, the mobile number or email address the company has on file, and the cleaning company’s name.
- We confirm it’s you before deleting anything, usually through that email address or phone number.
- We tell the cleaning company about your request, because your client record is part of its business records.
If you are a business user
Email [email protected] from the email address you use to sign in, with the subject “Data deletion”.
If you own a cleaning company
- If you want a copy first: in the app, Settings → Company preferences → Download all company data. The file is ready within minutes and is deleted after 24 hours.
- Then: Settings → Company preferences → Delete this company, and type the company name to confirm.
- Access ends at once for everyone. You can undo it for 30 days; after that, the company’s data and files are scheduled for permanent deletion, which we complete within 30 more days.
- To delete your own sign-in as well, email us.
3.What we delete
- For a client
- The client record (name, phone numbers, email, birthday, photo, notes, custom fields and message consent settings), service addresses with their entry codes and map locations, scheduled and past visits, estimates and agreements that were not approved or signed, conversations and messages, and ratings. We also remove the copies of your record kept in the company’s change history.
- For a business user
- Your sign-in (email and password), your profile (name, phone, photo and language) and your devices’ notification subscriptions. The team record your company keeps about you (name, email, phone) belongs to that company; we pass your request to it.
- For a company
- Everything in the company’s account, including its files: scheduled for permanent deletion when the 30-day undo period ends, and deleted within 30 more days.
4.What we keep
- Financial and legal records
- Invoices, payment records, signed agreements and approved estimates are the cleaning company’s financial and legal records, and the app does not delete a client who has any invoice or payment, a signed agreement or an approved estimate. In that case we delete everything else (such as phone numbers, email address, notes, photos and messages) and keep only what those records contain, for as long as the cleaning company keeps its account.
- Work records
- When a business user is deleted, the visit times, photos and pay records they created stay in the cleaning company’s account as its business records.
- Card payments at Stripe
- Stripe keeps its own records of card payments made to a cleaning company’s Stripe account, under Stripe’s rules.
- Text message opt-outs
- If you replied STOP to a text message, our SMS provider, Twilio, keeps its own record of that opt-out for our number. Deleting your data does not turn text messages back on.
- Backups
- Our daily backups are kept for 7 days, so deleted data leaves the backups within 7 days.
- What we no longer control
- Messages already delivered to your phone or inbox, and copies a cleaning company saved outside Next Clean (for example, a downloaded export).
- Legal obligations
- Information we must keep to comply with the law or to handle a legal claim.
5.How long it takes
We confirm that we received your request within 2 business days, and we complete it within 30 days after confirming it’s you. For California residents under the CCPA, the limit is 45 days, which the law lets us extend once by another 45 days when necessary; we will tell you if we need the extra time. We email you when it’s done.
